Clean Air Campaign
Metro Atlantans drive an average of 32 miles per person per day. All that driving creates a real challenge to the Atlanta air quality.
The Clean Air Campaign is a not-for-profit organization that works to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in the Atlanta area through a variety of voluntary programs and services, including free employer assistance, public information and children's education.
As a partner in The Clean Air Campaign, GTC provides information on air quality and encourages carpooling and the use of public transportation. GTC offers a no-cost guaranteed ride home to employees who carpool and have unexpected need to leave work early or late.
"Our relationship with Georgia Transmission has always been good. The company has worked cooperatively with us in every respect. They've developed an excellent track record on environmental compliance and they work with us to help us promote conservation."
Lonice Barrett
Former Commissioner
Georgia Department of Natural Resources
