Wild Turkey Federation Certifies GTC

Tucker, Ga. -- The National Wild Turkey Federation's Energy for Wildlife named Georgia Transmission and two other companies as "certified partners" during the federation's annual convention Feb. 18-20 in Nashville, Tenn.

GTC, Energy United, Statesville, N.C., and CNX Land Resources, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa., received certifications, the program's highest level of membership, which requires submission of a vegetation and wildlife management plan. Georgia Transmission became a member of Energy for Wildlife in June, 2003.

Energy for Wildlife is a program for enhancing wildlife habitat on company managed, owned or influenced lands, including power line and gas rights of ways, forests and other properties.
