What is Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC)?

Georgia Transmission Corporation is a not-for-profit cooperative that provides electric transmission service to 39 Electric Membership Corporations (EMC) in Georgia. GTC is owned by these 39 EMCs, that in turn, are owned by the customers they serve. For 23 years, GTC was a part of Oglethorpe Power Corporation. We became a separate cooperative in 1997.
